Tamil Nadu Class 12th Results 2017 - TN HSC Result 2017 - Date, Information & More..

: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), which conducts the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations for the students of Class 12th of Tamil Nadu, has announced the official exam dates for the academic year 2016-2017. The exams were scheduled from 2 March – 31 March, 2017. Last year, during the academic session 2015-2016, about 8,82,86 students appeared for the HSC exams 2016. The overall pass percentage was 90.6%. The pass percentage for boys who appeared for the TN HSC exam was 87.05% while for girls it was 93.04%. The TN HSC 12th exam results 2017 will be announced on 12 May. Around 8,98,763 students have appeared for the TN HSC examination 2017. About TN Board

The Directorate of Government Examinations was formed as a separate Directorate in 1975 in the month of February. The first secondary school leaving certificate examination was conducted in 1911. In 1980, it started the HSC examination. Every year, nearly 7 lakhs students appear for both TN Board SSLC exams and TN Board HSC exams.
