Berhampur University was inaugurated in the year 1967 and was shifted to its present 250-acre campus in Bhanja Bihar. The University campus is about 10-12 kilometers away from the Berhampur City and affiliates colleges in the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Nowrangapur, Malkangiri, Kandhamala and Boudh.
