Exam centres distinguished through color-coded answer sheets

The UP board class 10th and class 12th board exams 2020 are being conducted at nearly eight thousand test centres across the state. Among these, the UP Secondary Education Board has distinguished centres to be ‘sensitive’ and ‘hypersensitive’, on the basis of vulnerability to unfair practices.

In order to distinguish these test centres, the board has decided to follow a color-coding system for the answer sheets. The vulnerable districts will use pink and yellow answer sheets for class 10th and green and blue answer sheets for class 12th. The UP board expects that this distinction will help them ensure that the answer-sheets are not replaced by unauthorised personnel. Further, the answer-sheets are also threaded for extra protection.

The UP government has also set up a control room to monitor any illicit activities at the exam centres. Two lakh CCTVs are reportedly installed across all the exam centres to keep a close watch, along with deployment of an equal number of invigilators.

Helplines, social media to facilitate board exam candidates

The UP education board launches two toll free numbers for students and candidates, to help them overcome stress and get answers to any queries they have. Additionally, a new twitter handle is introduced to facilitate quicker information transmission.
