In a recent development, several state governments including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and West Bengal have removed the requirement for students to wear masks as they appear for examinations. Although many students in these states were able to take their exams without the mandatory necessity of wearing masks. Some other state governments have now reversed their decisions to make the use of N95 respirators / facemasks/- protective breathing devices-mandatory once again!
Tomorrow, the state of Tamil Nadu will hold a board exam that has been postponed for over two years. The TN Gap year bar was an alternative evaluation system introduced to evaluate 10th and 12th grade students along with preparation for their board examination.
As per the Directorate of Government Exams (DGE), students will be given 15 minutes extra to read each question in the paper and 5 more minutes to fill out their answers - basically adding a total of 10 minutes onto the scheduled time.
