Students Tested Positive During CBSE Term 2 Exams 2022

Published on: Author:

CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams are currently ongoing across the country for approximately 36 lakh students. It has been reported that over a lakh students in Delhi-National Capital Region region have tested positive for cough, cold, and other viral illnesses during the exams.

Many parents and teachers have sought clarification on the various policies laid out by CBSE to ensure fair tests for such ill students, including whether they can take a make-up test or get special accommodations due to their health conditions.

It's important to remember that there are many parents and educators asking the same questions, "What if my child or student contracts COVID during their exams? Will they have to appear for the CBSE exams?"

For example, let’s say your child is in class 10th and if he gets infected with COVID in the middle of April. You might have to ask yourself a few questions – Is it possible for him to sit for his Delhi Board Term 2 Exam at the end of April as he was going to earlier on? Will he be able to successfully complete his Test series in such a short time span?

In any case, even if your kid has contracted COVID and some symptoms aren't showing up yet, we suggest that you don't panic. Just follow the CBSE guidelines so nothing goes wrong. The school will submit an application on behalf of your son/daughter exemption from appearing in examinations from 15th onward.
