Maharashtra Board Cancels Geography Exam for Class 10th

April 13, 2020: In the view of the spread of COVID-19 several exams are postponed, or rescheduled or cancelled. Recently, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education announced that the pending SSC class 10th Geography exam has been cancelled.

Previously, the board had decided to carry out the remaining SSC papers after the lockdown however, the Coronavirus lockdown has been extended in the state which led the board to make the decision of concluding Maharashtra class 10th examination 2020.


School Education minister, Varsha Gaikwad said the following through a video message, “The lock down was expected to end April 14th but it has now been extended. Hence, we have taken two decisions. The second semester exams for Class 9th and Class 11th will not be held and students must be promoted to the next classes on the basis of the first term exam and internal exam results. Similarly, we have also decided to cancel the pending Geography and pending vocational subjects for SSC students.

Sources inform, that the evaluation of SSC 10th board exam papers have begun, the score pattern will be announced by the board in the coming days.
