Results likely on or before 15th April: UP Board exams 2018
28 March, 2018: The UP Board exams took place from 6 February - 22 February, 2018 for class 10 students and 6 February - 12 March, 2018 for class 12 students. The Board conducts the UP Board Class 10 Exams and UP Board Class 12 Exams for more than 60 lakhs students every year. This year, the Uttar Pradesh board is expected to release results of class 10 and class 12 exams by the third week of April, about a month before the regular declaration dates. As per reports, the UP Board results for class 10 and 12 are expected to be out on or before 15 April, 2018.
The evaluation process has started from March 17 and nearly 1.46 lakhs examiners are involved in the process. UP Board secretary Neena Srivastava reportedly said the early declaration of results is because the exams started before time. She said that the results will also be out early. “In 40-45 days, we have plans to publish both classes' results. After evaluation, we will send copies for double-checking at our regional offices," she added. It can be expected that the process will be completed soon because this year, a record total of 11,28,250 students did not appear for the board exams. The exam authority said this happened because strict measures were taken to curb malpractice.
On the first day of examinations yesterday, over 1,80,826 students did not appear. It included over 53,100 high school and over 1.27 lakh intermediate students. A total of 66,37,018 students were registered to appear in this year’s UP board exams. These include 36,55,691 appearing for class 10 exams and 29,81,327 students for class 12 exams.
