Tripura Madhyamik Class 12 Exams 2018: Exams postponed for Class XII
20 February, 2018: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) in a latest circular has released an official statement notifying the postponement of the Class 12th board examinations in the state. The Tripura Board exams 2018 for class XII students will now commence on March 8 instead of March 5, 2018. The schedule for Class X board examinations 2018 for TBSE remains the same.
The examinations have been postponed in order to avoid clashing with the assembly elections in the state. According to the Election Commission, Tripura goes to poll on February 18 and the results for all the 60 constituencies will be announced on March 3.Officials suggested that the entire selection process may extend well past its expected date, the decision to postpone the Class XII board examinations was taken.
TBSE president Mihir Kanti Deb said that the Class XII examinations, which were scheduled to begin on March 5, will now commence on March 8 in view of the upcoming elections. In addition to confirming the class 12 schedule she also spoke about the schedule of the class X board exams. He added that the Class X exams will begin on March 6, as scheduled earlier. This year, around 27,000 candidates will be appearing for TBSE Class XII examinations 2018 and nearly 55,000 students will appear for Class X 2018 examinations.
