Exam Centres for PSEB Class XII Students Far from Schools
20 February, 2018: Class XII students of the Punjab School Education Board now have an added stress to handle. Along with the pressure that a board exam can bring, they also have to travel distances of almost seven-eight kilometres to reach their exam centres, according to latest reports. This news came to light when the roll numbers of class XII students were announced last week.
On January 31, 2018, the board had issued a letter to check exactly this issue and written to state education officers asking them to ensure that no centre is located beyond a distance of three kilometres.
With 201 examination centres in the state for class XII board exams, this can be quite the inconvenience. Several schools have written to the board complaining about this matter, but no action has been taken yet.
The Punjab class XII boards are scheduled to start on the 28th of Feb, 2018 and will continue till the 24th of March. You can check the detailed schedule here.
