Meghalaya Board will soon adopt CBSE syllabus for class 11 and 12
29 March, 2018: The Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education (MBOSE) will soon adopt CBSE syllabus and NCERT textbooks for class XI and XII. The government has decided to take this step keeping in mind the stiff competition faced by the students.
“We are not doing away with MBOSE curriculum but to improve and to prepare the students for future studies especially in the Science and Commerce streams, the government has decided that the Class 11 and 12 (Science and Commerce streams) will follow NCERT textbook which will be implemented in the 2018-19 session," said Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui. He also added that he has constituted a task force under his chairmanship and the committee will include educationists and other stakeholders to look into the matter.
