COHSEM HSE Class 12 Exams 2018
20 February, 2018: The Class 12 state board examination for COHSEM HSE began on Monday amidst reports of the question paper being leaked on social media.
The incident triggered panic among the officials and unease amongst the students, who were preparing rigorously for English exam, an official of the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) said.
The council quickly dismissed the news as “fake” and said those involved in the perpetrating the false news will face appropriate action.
L Mahendra Singh, the chairman of COHSEM said that the objective of those involved was to misguide the public and malign the image of the council. The case has duly been handed over to the cyber crime unit of the State Police.
He further added that it was done on purpose to “create apprehensions” among the examinees, adding that the colour of the “fake” question paper differed from the real one.
He also demanded the arrest of those involved in the case within the next 24 hours. This year a total of 28,024 candidates are going to appear for the Higher Secondary examinations.
The council has appointed flying squads whose job is to ensure that the examinations are conducted smoothly and in a fair manner.
