Last Day of Exams: Maharashtra HSC Exams 2018

March 20, 2018: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBHSE) HSC (class 12th) exams end today on the 20th of March 2018. The last examinations being conducted are Russian, Arabic, Agriculture Science and Technology, and Animal Science and Technology. The exams are being conducted in two sessions, from 11 am to 2 pm in the morning, and from 3 pm to 6 pm in the afternoon.

As per a press release sent out by the Maharashtra Board, a total of 14,85,132 students were registered to appear for the HSC exams which were conducted at 9486 junior colleges and 2822 centres across the state. Out of the total number of students registered, 5,80,820 students were registered for Science, 4,79,863 students for Arts, 3,66,756 students for Commerce, and the 57,693 students for vocational stream.

While the exams were largely conducted smoothly, there were instances of cheating and paper leaks that were reported. A major chink in the armour came in the way of the erroneous questions in the HSC exam's chemistry paper. The questions asked had spelling mistakes in the names of chemicals and other errors. The chairperson of MSBHSE, while calling the errors silly, announced that seven bonus marks would be given to the students who attempted the questions.

Another major cause of concern for the boycott by Junior college teachers who had refused to initiate the process of valuation till their demands were discussed. In the start of March, the teachers associations ended this boycott which lasted for 10 days. Over that period, estimates suggest that, 70 lakh answer sheets were piled up state wide. The association has no assured that there won't be any delay in result declaration due to the boycott.

The MSBHSE HSC results are expected to be declared in the month of May, 2018. As official board partners, we would be declaring the results here first. Download our Android app or visit this website to ensure that you are the first to know about the results declaration.

Congratulations on the completion of your exams and best of luck for your results!
