Bihar Board Intermediate question paper leak: Total 2 papers leaked in a span of 3 days
9 February, 2018: The intention of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) to conduct this year’s Intermediate and Matric examination in a fair manner is facing rough weather as two cases of paper leak have been reported in a span of just 3 days. The Bihar Intermediate exams 2018 began on 6th February, 2018.
Bihar Board has been in the limelight for few years due to the unfair practises that were carried out by the students during the Board exams. To put an end to these practices, Bihar Board has taken few corrective measures since last 2 years.
According to the Board authorities, the question papers go viral only after the exams begin and these questions only include the MCQs which carries a weightage of 50% marks in each paper. The authorities have decided to set aside the first 90 minutes of the allotted three hours for students to answer multiple-choice questions and rest to answer the descriptive questions. This will prevent the students to take advantage of the extra time to leak the question papers.
This year, students were at liberty to solve the multiple-choice questions comprising 50% marks anytime during the three-hour exam. This worked to the advantage of those behind the question paper leak. BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said anybody trying to leak questions during the examinations would be booked under the Indian Penal Code, Exam Act and IT Act.
