Uttarakhand Board UBSE Class 10 Exams 2018: Exams begin tomorrow


05 March, 2018: The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) UK Board Class 10 (High School) examination starts tomorrow on 06 March, 2018. The date sheet has been made available on the board’s official website – www.ubse.uk.gov.in/. The entire schedule of the examination was published a month ago for students at the board’s official website. The exams will begin from March 6 with the Hindi paper and will end on March 24.

The Board also released the time table for UK board Class 12 (Intermediate) exams. The theory examinations will be held from 10 am to 1 pm for both the classes.

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) also announced that the board will make some changes in the exam pattern for the 2018 board exams in a few subjects. For Class 10, the changes are only applicable for Mathematics, while for Class 12, the changes will apply to Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

According to education officials, students appearing for board exams will get an option of multiple choice questions (MCQ) and more options in choosing questions in certain subjects. The board exams start in March every year.

V P Simalti, UBSE secretary, said that the board has made a few changes in the paper pattern which will be followed in 2018 boards in a bid to ease the stress and burden on students. For the first time, students will get as many options as they will have this time around, in the paper.

The results for the academic year 2016-17 were declared on May 30, 2017 for both Class 10 exams and Class 12 exams. Overall 150,352 students had appeared for UK board Class 10 (High School) exams while about 171,220 students had taken the UK Board Class 12 (Intermediate) exams. The exams were held from March 18 till April 10.
