Telangana BIE Inter I and II Exams 2018

19th March, 2018: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) Inter I and II exams for 2018 end today on the 19th of March 2018. The last examinations being conducted are Modern Language Paper II and Geography Paper II.

As many as 9.6 lakh students had registered for the board exams which started on the 28th of February, 2018. Out of these 9.6 lakh students 4,39,422 students registered for the Inter-II exams and 5,23,837 students appeared for the Inter-I exams. Over 18 thousand students (4.11%) were absent for the Inter-II exams and 25 thousand students (4.77%) skipped the Inter-I examinations.

The exams were conducted at 1294 centres across 31 districts in the state. To ensure smooth conducting of the exams and reduction in instances of cheating, 1294 chief superintendents, 25,394 invigilators, and 250 flying and sitting squads were appointed. These strict measures did see a reduction on the number of malpractice cases with 391 cases booked in all during the exams.

While the board has announced that evaluation for answer scripts of some subjects have already started and there are reports that the results for the Inter exams will be announced in the second or third week of April, there may be a delay in the results announcement, if the ongoing tussle between Sanskrit junior college lecturers and the State government is not resolved.

Currently Sanskrit lecturers are protesting the announcement that Telugu is to be made compulsory in Intermediate education. The Telangana Private Junior Colleges Language Lecturers Association has said that if this happens, over 2000 Sanskrit lecturers will lose their jobs, as will teachers teaching Arabic, Urdu, Persian, and Hindi.

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) Inter exams are expected to declare the Inter results in the second or third week of April, 2018. Download our Android app or visit this website to ensure that you are the first to know about the results declaration.

Congratulations on the completion of your exams and best of luck for your results!
