Students with Type-I Diabetes can carry eatables to exam halls during CBSE Board exams

22nd Feb 2017: In the latest circular released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), it will allow diabetic students to carry eatables at the exam hall during the CBSE board exams 2017. The board has listed the food items that can be carried to the exam hall:

  • Sugar tablets/Chocolate/Candy
  • Fruits like Banana/Apple/Orange
  • Snack items like Sandwich
  • Small bottle of water

According to the stats released by the International Diabetes Federation in 2015, more than 65 million people are affected from diabetes as compared to 51 million in 2010.In absence of proper insulin production, Type-I diabetes occurs at an early age. The patients need to have frequent meals in order to avoid hypoglycaemia which can affect their health.

 

The CBSE class 10 exams are scheduled to begin from 9 March, 2017, get the complete CBSE 10th class time table here. The CBSE class 12 exams will begin from 1 March, 2017; the complete list of exams with their respective dates can be checked here. Once the exams are concluded successfully, CBSE usually declares 10th CBSE results and 12th CBSE results in May.
