Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most important entrance examinations in India. It was formerly known as AIEEE- All India Engineering Entrance Examination. In 2012, the decision to merge AIEEE and JEE was taken and they were merged to a single exam: JEE ( Main & Advanced). The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting the JEE Main Examination 2017 as offline examination (Pen and Paper Based Examination) for Paper 1 (B.E. / B.Tech.) and Paper 2 (B.Arch. / B.Planning) on 2 April, 2017 and as an online examination for Paper 1 (B.E. / B.Tech.) only, on 8 & 9 April, 2017. After the declaration of JEE Main 2017 result, the qualified candidates need to appear for IIT JEE Advanced exam 2017. Candidate’s score in JEE Advanced result 2017 will decide which IIT he/she is eligible to join in.

Around 1,54, 406 candidates had appeared for the JEE Main Examination last year (previously All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) which is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other centrally funded technical institutes (CFTIs). The topper as per JEE result 2016 scored 320/372 and bagged All India Rank of 1 (AIR-1).

IIT JEE Entrance Exam

The JEE main examination is a national level Joint Entrance Examination for admission to National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). The JEE Mains Result 2017 will be announced on 27 April, 2017 for Paper-I and on 27 May, 2017 the declaration of All India Rank for JEE Main (Paper 2) will take place. JEE Advanced Result 2017

The top students who will clear the JEE Main 2017 can appear for JEE Advanced 2017 exam (previously known as IIT JEE). The JEE Advanced exam 2017 will be held on 21st May, 2017 (9 – 12 PM & 2 – 5 PM) and the result will be declared on 11 June, 2017.

The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced or JEE Advanced is conducted for admission to B.E/ B.Tech programmes offered by the 18 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.
